It is found that celebrities are ineffective at
expanding awareness of charitable reasons. They involved in charitable works
which is for good cause. Celebrities
work helps other people and these charitable works rarely fail to attract
to get publicity. The celebrities are motivated by a selfless desire to support
others. Celebrities work is for the
right cause but they also engage in it to get their publicity than their
causes. There is little celebrity in music world which engage themselves in
charity woks. Which of them are?
Shakira is a Colombian singer and song writer. She
has won many awards in her music world. She started writing songs at the age of
eight. She involved in charity work at the age of 18. She worked in Pies
Descalzos Foundation. At this time this foundation is responsible to deliver
education and nutrition to children in Colombia. She is also the member of
President Obama’s Advisory Commission which works on educational excellence for
Hispanics. She also join the ALAS which focus on early childhood and pregnancy.
She has worked as a goodwill ambassador at UNICEF.
Bono is an Irish
singer and song writer. He also runs his business. His real name is Paul David Hew-son. He involved in charity work after in 1979. He
severs to Amnesty International’s Conspiracy of Hope and live 8 projects which
was the secret policeman’s Ball performers. He fights to counter the poverty
and helped to create the One Campaign, DATA and E DUN. They are clothing firms
which are struggling to encourage trade with poverty suffering countries. Such
celebrities are really impressive because people like it as they are very
charitable with others. No doubt different terms are also involved with them
but their effort is really appreciated.
Bono and Oprah are also going red. They hit Chicago's "Magnificent Mile" together to show off new clothing from The Gap, accessories and cool gadgets like the new cherry red iPod that will all help to fight AIDS. It's all super simple, and you don't have to do anything special to help out. Bono said,
"Some people won't put on marching boots, so we've got to get to people where they are at, and they're in the shopping malls. Now you're buying jeans and T-shirts, and you're paying for 10 women in Africa to get medication for their children with HIV."
